The Success of Lebanese-Australian Poker Pro Joseph Hachem

Joseph Hachem is known to have been displaying admirable abilities in live poker tournaments since 2000. However, it was in 2005 when he really caught the attention of the entire poker public. This was when he was awarded US$7,500,000 after winning the 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event. Poker player Steve Dannenmann was the runner up to Joseph Hachem. Aside from the fact the he was able to defeat Dannenmann, it was also overwhelming for Joseph Hachem to have defeated a total of five thousand six hundred eighteen poker professionals.

Born in Lebanon on November 3, 1966, Joseph Hachem and his family relocated from Lebanon to Melbourne, Australia in 1972. Before he entered the poker scene, he was working as a chiropractor but unfortunately, he had to abandon such profession because he developed a rare blood disorder. This gave him the opportunity to focus on playing professional poker.

Joseph Hachem does not only participate in live poker events, but he is also active in online poker games. When this guy is not at the Crown Casino, where he plays a lot, or when he is not playing online poker, he is busy managing his brokerage business located in Pascoe Vale, Victoria.

Joseph Hachem admits that playing poker has done a lot as far as his attitude is concerned. He says that being a Lebanese, it is part of his nature to be hot-tempered. But as he started to play more and more poker, he has learned to manage his behavior. He has learned to be more patient and has learned how to take control of his temper.

We may know him as the poker player who won in the 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event, but Joseph Hachem has also achieved other victories aside from that. He has always been active in Australian poker tournaments and in most cases he emerged successful in such Australian events.

In 2000, Joseph Hachem was already a notable figure in Australian events. On August 25, he participated in the Pot Limit Omaha game of the Australasian Poker Championship wherein he became a fourth placer. A year after that, he joined the Australasian Championship once again and cashed in the money in a No Limit Hold'em game.

On October 26, 2001, Joseph Hachem was the third placer in the No Limit Hold'em event of the Australian Poker Championship.

In the following years, Joseph Hachem continued to participate in various Australian tournaments including the Victorian Poker Championship and the Melbourne Hold'em Championship. From such participation, he has already generated a lot of poker winnings due to the fact that he has always had successful money finishes.
